This was a hell of a little bugger to do with the spokey gloop on the wall, but it's done now so I don't really want to have any regrets for it, well, except one......
My only, absolute ONLY problem with this, as pointed out when he saw me outlining Scarlet, is that it looks more like "Escape" rather than "Break Away", and now that I look at it, he's right... <_<
The idea behind this really, is that my charry is trying to "break away" from that black mass of Lost Souls in the wall, why? Well, because they kinda feed off live flesh so........it's the type of thing you'd definately want to avoid! (Oh boy, me and my imagination are a right funny pair. Lol! ) And thought I'd have a go at a more Urban background this time, and I think it turned iut pretty ok!
It's a great picture. I like how you've done the folds and the ears. Scarlet looks nice.
The bricks on the left of the image. are quite a bit bigger then the bricks on the right. This makes the bricks on the left look closer. Combined with the angle of the bricks on the right, this gives a strange perspective.
The trash can also has a bit of a perspective problem. It's rounded at the bottom but straight at the top, this makes it look as if the camera was at trash can height and close to the camera. Scarlet's shadow suggests the camera is further away, confusing perspective even more.
I think you nailed the theme though. That sort of stuff is beyond perspective. It's in the little details. You escape from something you fear. You break away from something you don't like. The general theme of the image is 'spooky', yet Scarlet doesn't show fear. She is in control. She breaks away.
Great picture.

Looking at it now, when it is finished, nidomedia's right. Maybe it was becuase it wasn't colored in when I saw it but it does now look like breaking away.
I think that in this, the shadings good on Scarlet, no question but the bin behind its not done correctly, in my opinion. Its only minor though, overall the picture looks great.
I dunno, it looks to me like shes trying to "Break Away" from the goop, thus suiting the purpose. Look at the detail on that moss, wow =O

I won't dissect language details as in escape and break away, that doesn't bother me here. I love the gloop, the contorted faces are so funny, you did a fantastic job on them. Scarlet looks wonderful as always, I love the details you put on her.
If I'm honest there surely are some problems with perspective and stuff, but this is a drawing, not a technical scheme, so I don't bother too much about it. In fact, I hardly notice it here, because the important things pull my sight on them anyway, and that's how it is supposed to be Great work as always, you're really commited in your challenge, it's amazing how fast you draw one pic by the next...
Damn, it's always a problem with perspective? But meh, I know I absolutely suck at perspective so that explains why a large majority of my drawings are wonky and incorrect. But it's art and it shouldn't really matter if you have the soul for it. But I think I'm going to have to be more careful in the future with perspective though, because I would like to improve it.

See? I know what I'm doing when I draw! Well, with the exeption of the correct perspective that is, which I WILL work on because it keeps popping up and it's really annoying because I know it's there! ¬_¬
